For East Tennessee Valley locations additional snow accumulations between 3 to 8 inches. For the East Tennessee mountains additional accumulations between 5 to 10 inches with locally higher amounts near 12 inches possible for highest peaks in the Smokies.
  • WHERE...Portions of east Tennessee and southwest Virginia.
  • WHEN...Until 1 AM EST Sunday.
  • IMPACTS...Hazardous travel conditions are expected.

    • Cold Weather Advisory issued January 31 at 1:19AM EST until February 1 at 1:00PM
  • WHAT...Very cold wind chills as 5 above zero to 5 below zero expected at times over the Valley and Plateau as well as Southwest North Carolina while values as low as zero to 10 below zero can be expected at times over Southwest Virginia.
  • WHERE...Portions of southwest North Carolina east Tennessee and southwest Virginia.
  • WHEN...From 5 AM EST /4 AM CST/ early this morning to 1 PM EST /noon CST/ Sunday.
